Parks in Doha
One of the best things about living in Doha is the fact that there are a number of places where the family can hang out! And I don’t mean the malls and indoor play areas, but actual outdoor spaces! If you can find a way to beat the heat, you can definitely have a gala time playing with the kiddies at these many outdoor parks! This is my list of parks in Doha! Parks in Doha – Sheraton Hotel Park Now this is one of my favourites to be honest. Come on, what is not to like? A run through fountain for the kiddies, plenty of green space to chill…

My Breastfeeding Challenges
Most of you may know that I am a huge advocate for breastfeeding. Of course a mom has every right to choose her mode of feeding her baby – I completely will support the choices every mom makes for herself. But I do think breastfeeding deserves a 100% chance first. And because I am usually pretty vocal about the importance of breastfeeding, many automatically assume that I have had an easy ride. Not quite. And that is why I would like to share information about my breastfeeding challenges. We have crossed 1.5 years of breastfeeding; hoping to cross two years at the very least and then we’ll see how it…

She was inspired by a breastfeeding support group she was part of in Ireland. One new mom had an idea to help out other new mommies in her locality in Pune. For many women all over the world, the group has become a safe space to ask questions and queries. Because they know full well that there is no judgment – only support and information.” Its founder, Adhunika Prakash, is…

Transferring Sponsorship From Employer to Husband in Doha
With a job change just around the corner, the man and I decided that we would do it – we would be moving my sponsorship as well as my son’s would move from to be under dad – my husband. So we looked into the process of transferring sponsorship from employer to husband in Doha, and it was fairly straightforward (once I was able to gather the info). I had explained in my earlier post that – if both, mom and dad, are sponsored by different employers, then baby will come under mom’s sponsorship. The fact that he was under my sponsorship and not the man’s made it a more arduous…

Abilities of A Mommy
Far too many times, I have heard of new moms being undermined! Their thoughts being questioned and their parenting ways tossed aside. I don’t understand how anyone can doubt the abilities of a mommy or daddy, for that matter. If you are a first time mother, then everyone and their aunty have pearls of wisdom to share. Because of course, you have no experience but they do and so obviously they know better! Everyone from the baby’s grandparents to various uncles and aunties have “advice”. Some even go to the point of forcefully doing things for the baby – because, well, even though you are the mother, you are new…
